TRD Studios is a leading design and innovation consultancy, specializing in product lifecycle management. We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Designer to join our team. As a Service Designer at TRD Studios, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and enhancing the service offerings of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis: Utilize a variety of research methodologies to gain deep insights into customer needs, market trends, and industry dynamics. Analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for service improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with our design, strategy, and technology teams to develop innovative and holistic service solutions that align with our clients’ business goals and objectives.
- Design and iterate service blueprints: Develop comprehensive service blueprints that outline the customer journey, touchpoints, processes, and interactions. Continuously refine and iterate these blueprints based on user feedback and business requirements.
- Prototyping and testing: Create service prototypes and conduct user testing to validate concepts, identify pain points, and gather user feedback. Use insights to refine service designs and ensure seamless user experiences.
- Service innovation and strategy: Drive the development of service innovation strategies, identifying opportunities to differentiate our clients’ offerings in the market. Provide insights and recommendations for service expansion, process improvements, and new service development.
- Client engagement and management: Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their unique needs and business challenges. Develop strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor, guiding them through the service design process and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Stay updated with industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in service design and product lifecycle management. Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Service Designer, Design Strategist, or in a similar role, ideally in a consultancy or agency setting.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful service design projects, demonstrating your ability to apply design thinking methodologies and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc.) to effectively communicate your ideas and concepts.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, service design frameworks, and human-centered research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, synthesize complex information, and derive actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and visualize ideas to both internal teams and external clients.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
